Color Inspiration: Vintage Sheets

Vintage Sheet Inspired thread palette

I've been working with vintage sheets a lot lately, preparing to make myself a quilt from them, and I'm just smitten with the soft but cheerful colors. Above I've constructed a small palette of DMC stranded floss colors (#3607, #604, #743, #563, #827, #153 - click through to Flickr to see the photo larger) that match these lovely sheets - perfect for a summery project, don't you think?

  2. I'm just about to try and finish my vintage sheet quilt and am dreading the quilting part, but this is great inspiration to at least do some of it by hand with embroidery thread. Looks great!
