French Knot Clock Face

Found on Flickr

Clock Face in Progress

A few months ago, I wrote a post here on &Stitches featuring extra-special uses of french knots. If Flickr user Littlelixie's french knot-filled clock face had existed at the time, it most certainly would've been included. It's still a work in progress, but you can already see how wonderfully textural it's going to be. She's using variegated threads on a grey linen, which is really making the colors pop beautifully!

Follow Lixie's progress on her blog, Lixie Makes It.

  2. So pretty. I hate making French knots, but they really do look so little.

  3. I made a garden of flowers with French knots and it took forever. The clock is beautiful.

  4. Thank you for featuring me! I am really flattered. They are quite time consuming but it can become a meditative thing, plus with variegated thread you want to see it changing to the next colour! I adore the effect.

  5. I love French Knots all crowded together!
