Felt is one of the greatest crafty materials. It's easy to cut, easy to use and easy to sew. Earlier this year Kathy Sheldon and Amanda Carestio, released a follow up to Fa la la la Felt (all about Felt Christmas Projects) called Heart-felt Holidays. Heart-felt Holidays offers projects for many celebratory events throughout the year (including Christmas) from Hannukah to St.Patricks Day and from Thanks Giving to the Fourth of July. Even Groundhog Day is covered! :)

The designs are cute and modern, and the directions for each project are clearly written. Maybe not all but a lot of the designs would be best suited for families with kids. So if you are a crafty mum (or dad) with young kids this book will provide you with lots of great and mostly quick and easy festive projects.

One favorite holiday? I love them all...just ask my husband who has to help get all the boxes of "decorating supplies" for the season/holiday out for me when it is time to redecorate. I guess I would have to say Christmas is my absolute favorite, but I do love them all! (Decorating for a birthday is great too!!!) :) Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful giveaway! My favorite holiday would have to be Christmas. I love it because we celebrate the birth or our Lord Savior Jesus Christ!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Diane
I love Christmas the best for decorating.. the house becomes so full and warm and cozy and magical! I think that's why I love fall the best - it means the best holidays are on their way!

My favorite holiday is an old-school Celtic one: Candlemas. It's also known as the feast of St. Brigid, who was the patron saint of homebrewed beer, so you can imagine it's a fun festivity. It happens on Groundhog Day, too, so it's right at that time of the year when the winter seems to drag on a little too long. Now how to portray that in felt...
ReplyDeleteChristmas is my favorite holiday. A fun time to get together with family and celebrate the love we have for one another.
ReplyDeleteI love Christmas time ~ mostly because my daughter-in-law loves it so much. She really gets into decorating and loves to get handmade things from me. We cook together at Christmas ~ it means so much to me ~ she loves me like a real daughter!
ReplyDeleteI would haveto say Christmas. I love making gifts for my friends and family. I was told watching people open what I made them and seeing the specialized gift for each was their favorite part about opening presents. I have to agree. The look on their faces are an even better gift that what I was unwrapping. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, what an adorable book! I love making gifts for my family for Christmas, and filling the house with the aroma of baking treats.
ReplyDeleteI'm a Halloween gal. I love it!
ReplyDeleteDay of the Dead is my favorite holiday. I love Halloween too because I incorporate my Day of the Dead decoration with it.

ReplyDeleteOh Christmas every single time for me. It's my birthday at Christmas too so the excitement could be unbearable when I was little. Now I watch my children start to squeak with festive excitement from November 5th and I'm immediately 7 again!

ReplyDeleteMy favourite holiday has to be Christmas even though it takes me by surprise every single year. One minute it's November the next Christmas Eve.
ReplyDeleteThis book looks really cute. Thank you for a great giveaway.
I looooove Halloween, but christmas is lovely too n.n
ReplyDeleteI love Halloween because I love to dress up. But Christmas is a true holiday which I love as well.
ReplyDeleteChristmas, and although not a holiday, I love the changing of the seasons as a craftmoment too!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday is Midsummer: dancing, picking flowers, food, sunshine, midnight strolls...
ReplyDeleteMy Birthday...
ReplyDeleteIt seems to depend on which one is coming up! Each time the seasons change, I find I'm ready to part with the last one, and excited that the next one is coming. The holidays are largely a part of decorating for the whole season, for me. I'm going to pick Christmas/winter right now, but I suspect that's because the air is beginning to chill where I live. :)

I love all holidays, but if I had to pick one, it would probably be Halloween - I have almost as many Halloween decorations as I do for Christmas!

Cute book! I love fall. I love the decor (leaves, ghosts, bare branches, pumpkins), the colors (oranges, browns, blacks, deep reds, dark yellows), the warmth of hot cider on a cool crisp day, preparing for a Thanksgiving feast (yum, pie).
