Over the next two months all &Stitchers bloggers will share one of their WIP's here on the blog. I had to choose because I always have several projects 'in the hoop'. Besides this squirrel (more about him later), I'm stitching a quote (lots of shading going on there too) and a brown bear that I'm attempting to embroider with sewing thread. And those are just the projects on top of the WIP basket...
The squirrel is based on one of my retired patterns and I'm making up the rest as I go along. I just might fill the whole hoop with strange mushrooms and weird plants. :) I used a scrap of fabric, which really wasn't very clever as the fabric doesn't fit in my normal, 5" plastic hoops. For shading I mostly use just one strand of regular six-stranded floss.
