Thimble Follow-Up

Thimble Follow-Up

Remember way back when, when we were discussing embroidery tools and, specifically, thimbles? When we asked for your input, a few of you mentioned adhesive leather thimble pads, but that was the only thimble variety I was unable to test out.

In the meantime, a few sticky thimble pads landed in my mailbox courtesy of my &Stitches co-worker Carina (thanks, Carina!), and I have to tell you, I haven't looked back since! I do occasionally use my thick Clover thimble, if I'm sewing something tough or using an especially large needle, but I've mostly stuck (no pun intended!) with the leather pads. I believe I've tried two different brands now and not noticed any difference, so if you find yourself all stabbed up and sore, give these sticky guys a go!

  3. I'm terrible with thimbles, I've tried loads but never any of the sticky fellas. Must hunt some down, I currently have a peeling fingertip.:(

  4. have not come across sticky ones before, will lok out for them as it is so difficult to find a metal oner that actually stays on my finger, they are usually too large or too small.

  5. Those stick on leather ones are my go-to thimbles - I love them!
